Multi award-winning pianist and composer, Charu Suri, returns to Carnegie Hall for a historic fourth time on April 5, 2024 and becomes the first Indian jazz artist to do so. In her upcoming performance, she will present her latest album, RAGS & RAGAS, in a unique way with featured artist, Grammy® nominated Max ZT, on the hammered dulcimer. Joining her in the performance will be singers Cassandra Kubinski, who has collaborated with Charu in an original song called “Lately” that will premiere at Carnegie Hall. Also on the lineup are singers Ri Wolf from Texas, Danielle Erin Rhodes, and Sufi singer, Umer Piracha.

Charu’s work has been performed by Yo Yo Ma, The New Jersey Symphony, Steve Gadd, John Patitucci, and Joe Lastie from Preservation Hall, among others. Her latest album, RAGS & RAGAS, topped international jazz charts and reached #3 in the U.S. and #1 in India on iTunes. She has performed at the GRAMMY® Museum, Lincoln Center, Birdland, NCPA Mumbai, Cliff Bells and upcoming performances include a U.K. tour and an appearance at the Royal Opera House in Mumbai, India.

She has won several awards including a Gold Entertainer of the Year from the International Singer Songwriters Association (ISSA), Intercontinental Music Awards, Global Music Awards and is a voting member of the Recording Academy.
